Returns – Consumer Guarantees

The Australian Consumer Law protects consumers by giving them certain guarantees when they buy goods and services. These are known as “Consumer Guarantees”. For further information, please refer to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission website.

You must provide proof of purchase to make a claim and Tropic T-Shirts reserves the right to decline an exchange, refund or repair where a fault is caused by misuse or neglect.

We request for all returns to be received by our store within 30 days of your delivery date unless otherwise organised beforehand.

We strongly recommend obtaining tracking on your return parcel, as we cannot process a return without physical goods or proof of delivery.

We aim to process returns within 2 business days of your parcel showing as delivered to our store, however we ask to please allow up to 5 business days  in case of higher volumes.

Refunds

In accordance with Australian Consumer Law, we are not required to offer you a refund for sizing, fit or change of mind on returns. For example, the consumer guarantees do not apply if you got what you asked for but simply changed your mind, found it cheaper somewhere else, decided you did not like the purchase or had no use for it.

If you have a minor problem with a product, we can choose to give you a free repair instead of a replacement, or a store credit. When you have a major problem with a product, you have the right to ask for your choice of a replacement, store credit, or refund.

Tropic Tshirts reserves the right to ask you to demonstrate that you did not cause or create the fault in the item.

If you are entitled to a refund but if you would prefer to exchange the item or receive a Tropic Tshirts store voucher of equivalent value to the item, Tropic Tshirts is happy to exchange or give you the store voucher instead of a refund.

Exchanges

Before returning your items, please ensure you are aware of our terms and conditions on returned goods.

Please note that you will only be issued a store voucher or exchange if you are returning an item due to fit, sizing or change of mind.

All returns must be received in their original condition, unworn, unwashed and with all tags and hygiene seals in tact (if applicable).

Any goods or garments that have been damaged or altered from their original condition are not eligible for return.

A prepaid return sachet from Australia Post must be included with the return.

The customer is required to cover any re-shipping costs.

Faulty or Incorrect Items

In accordance with Australian Consumer Law, if a minor problem is found with the product, we can choose to give you a free repair instead of a replacement, or a store credit. When you have a major problem with a product, you have the right to ask for your choice of a replacement, store credit, or refund. If we have misrepresented the product or provided an incorrect description, you have the right to ask for your choice of a replacement product, a store credit, or refund.
